Higgy's 9-Hour Enduro — Vancouver Island

A friend invited me to lead his team for this nine-hour charity enduro on Vancouver Island. It raises money for local causes, and is now run as the Isle of Van.

We ran as the #61 enCompass B Team on his 2022 KTM 450 SMR. I rode lead, with Euan Cameron and Nick Newton sharing the rest of the stints. Nine hours, most laps wins, riders swapping in and out across the day.

We turned 327 laps for 8th of 17 teams, with a best lap of 1:26.579. Beyond the result, the weekend is about the cause: our team raised $1,030 for it.

A borrowed supermoto and a format that rewards consistency over heroics. A good day out for a good reason.
